Mahavir Steel Industries Limited was founded in 1968 at Bhosari near Pune. With passing time, growing trust and increasing requirements caused the establishment of our second unit at Yawat, near Pune, in 1993. This improved and technologically advanced unit majorly catered to the requirements of the major engineering and automobile industries in the region and the expanding vineyards in the Pune - Solapur region. Today, we are one of the leading manufacturers of Structural Steel in western India.

Corporate Social Responsibility

As a responsible corporate citizen, we accept and fulfil our obligations towards the society, and children in particular. Mahavir Steel Industries has initiated a couple of CSR programs, wherein we actively participate and contribute to create a better and strong future for the underprivileged and challenged children.

Mahavir Steel Industries, in collaboration with the Step Up Foundation, is running two projects at the Vidya Vikas High School in Yawat, Pune ...We Wake and We Lead, for the social cause of adolescent wellness.

The We Wake project mainly focuses on creating awareness about adolescent health which helps children to develop as a healthy, responsible and sensitive individual.
The aim of this initiative is to ensure that the adolescent is
- Informed about the means to ensure physical and emotional wellness
- Responsible towards himself / herself and others
- Sensitive towards changes occurring in himself / herself and the opposite sex
- Confident about his / her ability and knowledge to deal with challenges of growing up.
The We Lead is a leadership program for adolescents in eighth and ninth grade. Using the approach of design thinking, workshops are conducted which facilitate students identify a problem and work in groups to prototype a solution.
We believe students learn through action; “We Lead” provides adolescents from low-income communities the opportunity to actively learn while developing the right mindset and skills to become a leader.
Adolescence is a period of great risk and great opportunity. Through the intervention, Step Up Foundation is working to turn each risk into an opportunity by instilling knowledge and leadership potential in students from vulnerable communities. The vision to create a nation with happy, independent, and confident leaders.
The beneficiaries of the above two programs are around 500 students every year.

The Deaf and Dumb School in Uruli Kanchan, Pune is a residential school for the physically challenged children. The Mahaveer Residential Deaf and Dumb School is an initiative with the faith of enabling deaf and dumb youth.

Mahavir Steel Industries is committed to elevating and enriching the lives of these special children. Our compassion drives us to support the noble cause:

We maintain a Water Purifier Plant in the School, so that the students can get the purified water.
Yearly support for their educational needs like books, notebooks, compass boxes, pencils & other stationary items.
For the safety of the children, we have constructed a shed and put safety grills on all the windows as required of the school.
Being a residential school, we have provided bunk-beds for the comfort of the children.
